Rare Antique Georgian Mourning Sepia w/ Broken Column, Hairwork

A release from the personal collection of our CEO; this exceptional example of mourning jewelry features a sepia mourning scene with a woman in mourning resting her elbow against a plinth with a broken column. The column symbolizes a life ended prematurely and it is beautifully executed in gold wire work and pearls. These pieces are becoming difficult to find and even better that this piece comes with the original box. A rare and poignant piece of jewelry. 

 Condition: Good antique condition, most of the scene is intact, hair is wonderful on the reverse. 

Metal: Untested Gold

Age: Late 1700s.

Dimensions: 2.75' from top of bale to bottom approximately.
