Iberian Ring with Rose Cut Garnets, 9-12k, 1700s

This one of a kind garnet ring dates back to the 1700s and was created in either Spain or Portugal. Featuring several smaller rose cut Garnets around a larger rose cut garnet, this ring feels luxurious and weighty on the hand. We found this on a trip to Portugal and fell in love with the juicy quality of these garnets. After testing, the gold ranges from 9 to 12k, as is characteristic of the period. Compared to many other pieces of the period, this one is a bit more subdued, but no less beautiful.
