Antique Arts & Crafts Brooch with an assortment of stones

A fabulous example of an Arts and Crafts Brooch beautifully constructed in 18k Gold with a central turquoise stone and embellished with small amethysts, peridot, garnets, and citrine. Freshwater pearls are set on the top resembling a royal crown. 

Arts and Crafts jewelry was immensely popular and originated in the late 1800s as a reversal to traditional methods of goldsmithing and design as opposed to jewelry beginning to mass produced during the Industrial Revolution. We love it as it was a prelude to the massively popular Art Nouveau period and the jewelers of this time paid no expense to detail.
